Sierra7 to Deliver Critical Product Assurance and Automation Support to VA.
Falls Church, VA – 20 December 2021. The Department of Veterans Affairs Office of Information and Technology (OIT) Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) issued Sierra7 a $13M award to deliver Product Assurance and Automation Support (PAAS). Sierra7 will provide VA product teams with consulting services, training, assistance, and automation efficiencies for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes.
VA OIT is dedicated to providing high-quality, effective, and efficient information technology (IT) services to deliver world-class benefits and services to Veterans.
Sierra7 will deliver efficiency and consistency though automation and use of CI/CD pipeline tools as a significant part of the software development process to include Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Security as Code (SaC), and Configuration as Code (CaC). These automation efficiencies include Configuration Management (CM) assurances to the software lifecycle and automations of CI/CD pipelines to prevent loss of critical information related to change approvals, traceability, documentation, and baseline comparisons amongst the various releases and environments of VA.
