Sierra7 Awarded 5 Year Medical Coding BPA Contract with Veterans Health Administration
Falls Church, VA – 21 July, 2021. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) issued Sierra7, Inc. an award onto the 5-year, multi-award Health Information Management (HIM) Medical Coding Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA). The BPA covers three critical support areas that enable Veterans Health Administration (VHA) to deliver high-quality reliable care to Veterans while maximizing operational efficiencies and cost savings.
VHA is the nation’s largest integrated health care system, providing care at over 1,200 health care facilities, serving 9 million enrolled Veterans each year. Providing accurate and timely medical coding ensures Veterans receive necessary healthcare services while supporting effective operations and timely reimbursement for VHA.
This BPA will be owned and executed with oversight from Sierra7’s Chief Operating Officer, John Peterson, who said, “This BPA allows us to continue serving Veterans and VA through accurate, timely, and compliant medical coding activities. In addition, Sierra7 will be conducting external audits, and training for VA staff members.
