Sierra7 Awarded 5 Year Cybersecurity Infrastructure Contract with VA
Falls Church, VA – 5 October, 2021. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Office of Information & Technology (OI&T) has awarded Sierra7, Inc. a $51M 5-year Firm Fixed Price contract award for Data Discovery, Analytics, and Labeling (DDAL). The contract was awarded on the Transformation Twenty- One Total Technology-Next Generation (T4NG) vehicle and provides DDAL platform solutions and services to enhance VA’s overall cybersecurity program and, more specifically, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) efforts across four pillars including Network, Cloud, Storage, and Endpoint.
Steve Gosewehr, Vice President of Technology and Security, who will oversee and support the delivery of the DDAL contract said, “Our team of cybersecurity and data experts is prepared to deploy an industry-leading Varonis data protection platform across the VA enterprise using a phased approach to support VA’s cybersecurity transformation further enhancing their cyber and cloud operations.” Sierra7 will provide project management, deployment, operations, and maintenance (O&M), planning, testing, and configuration services as part of the DDAL contract. Sierra7 will leverage their existing partnerships with Varonis and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to enhance VA’s cloud capabilities and security throughout the length of the contract.
